Perth Injury & Pain Clinic is one of the leading Clinics in Perth.  We offer proactive, quality healthcare in a safe and comfortable environment. At Perth Injury & Pain Clinic, your health is our number one priority, and we pride ourselves on delivering high quality and personalised care.

Who We Provide Services To

Medicare Careplans CDM/EPC

We accept care plan referrals, commonly called Chronic Disease Management Plans or Enhanced Primary Care Plans. Please note there may be a gap fee.

Private Paying

You do not require a referral from your doctor or specialist to see us. We accept private health funds and have HICAPS facilities on site meaning that you can claim on the spot.

Specialist Referrals

Although you do not require a referral, we do accept referrals from doctors, surgeons and specialists.

ICWA

We accept Insurance Commission of Western Australia (ICWA). This includes car accidents, insurance claims and other approved compensation schemes. When approved, appointments are fully covered.

Workers Compensation

Worker's Compensation covers workers who get injured in the line of work. We accept Worker's comp claims, which are fully covered when approved.

Jordan van der Westhuizen

Jordan graduated with Honours in Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy). Throughout his studies, Jordan gained valuable knowledge in various areas, including soft tissue, Neurorehabilitation, Vocational Rehabilitation and Paediatrics. Additionally, during his time at university, Jordan received the Paediatrics as well as the Assistive Technology Awards for the highest overall mark in these subjects at university.

Jordan has a special interest in back pain and sports rehabilitation and enjoys working with athletes from diverse sports. He has undertaken multiple post graduate courses to further his knowledge, including Dry Needling, McGill Method, Running Analysis and Recovery & Athletic Performance Science.

Jordan is the first McGill Method Certified Practitioner in Western Australia and is one of only six people in Australia to receive this highly specialised certification. 

Furthermore, he is a Strength & Conditioning Coach in which he did his training at the Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS). Jordan has worked with numerous sporting clubs and teams, working to implement injury prevention and athlete monitoring programs.

Jordan is passionate about empowering others to improve and promote their health journey.

Taylor van der Westhuizen

Taylor graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Occupational Therapy. Throughout her degree, Taylor gained valuable experience in the areas of Soft Tissue, Paediatrics and Aged Care.

She is fascinated by all areas of the body and strongly believes that Soft Tissue OT can provide numerous benefits to people of all ages, abilities and occupations.

Taylor believes that soft tissue education and treatment is key to reducing pain, addressing injuries and allowing the body to function at an optimal level. Taylor has undertaken various post-graduate courses including Dry Needling, Nutrition Science and is a qualified Clinical Reformer Pilates Instructor. Additionally Taylor completed further studies in Women’s Health and holds a post-graduate qualification in Women’s Health Medicine through the University of New South Wales.

Brett Zani

Brett completed his Occupational Therapy studies at Curtin in 2003 and has over 21 years’ clinical experience in Soft Tissue Injury and Pain Management. Brett has completed numerous post-graduate courses in areas such as Dry Needling, Mulligan Manual Therapy and Exercise Prescription to improve his clinical outcomes and better help patients reduce their pain and improve their occupational performance.

Brett has treated athletes from the SBL, NBL, WNBL, WAAPA, Youth Ballet WA and numerous other dance schools and sporting clubs in the greater metropolitan area. He is also available for seminars on a range of topics such as sports injury prevention and corporate health and he has helped design injury management programs for multiple sports clubs and recreation centres.

Brett has taught Occupational Therapy students for over a decade and is passionate about sharing his knowledge with others and has implemented multiple Soft Tissue Courses for the Occupational Therapy Association of Western Australia.

JO VENTER

Jo Venter is a Biokineticist, Sports Scientist and Exercise Physiologist with 25 years of experience. He is a MASTER clinician with BACKFIT PRO, under Dr Stuart McGiill and has a global patient base. He is the only MASTER clinician in Australia and one of only 16 world wide. Jo has specialised in spinal rehabilitation and injury prevention for the last 7 years at Coastal Neurosurgery, with extensive experience in all spinal operations and rehabilitation. With this knowledge he has a comprehensive understanding of spinal injuries, potential risks and how to prevent injuries before they occur.

NIKKI MARTIN

Nikki graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Occupational Therapy, gaining valuable clinical experience across a variety of settings, including physical rehabilitation, paediatrics, and aged care.

With a deep fascination for the body’s intricate mechanics, Nikki is passionate about taking a holistic, person-centered approach to optimise both function and well-being. Incorporating soft tissue techniques to  enhances rehabilitation, particularly when paired with patient education on posture, movement, and body mechanics.
With a strong background in the running community, Nikki is a qualified Pilates instructor, a certification she pursued to deepen her understanding of sports performance and movement mechanics. She has also completed a post-graduate course in dry needling, expanding her skill set and providing her with additional therapeutic techniques to better support her clients.

Nikki’s holistic approach ensures that her clients receive not only immediate relief but also the knowledge and tools to prevent future injuries, supporting their long-term health and improving their overall quality of life.

  • Running Athletes: Treatment of conditions like plantar fasciitis, patella tendinopathy, Achilles tendinopathy, and other tendinopathies/tendinitis, as well as running form and stride correction.

Phoebe Farrell

Phoebe is the Assistant Practice Manager at our clinic, where she plays a crucial role in keeping things running smoothly. With a warm, welcoming and friendly presence, she is the first point of contact for patients, managing both administrative tasks and clinical reception at the front desk.

Outside of work, Phoebe is an avid animal lover. She has three beautiful cats, and a gorgeous puppy named Fletcher. When she’s not spending time with her animals, or family and friends, she will be enjoying a walk outdoors or at her favourite sushi restaurant. Phoebe also has a passion for plants and interior design, always looking for ways to refresh and beautify her living space (and the clinic).

Trent Browning

Trent is our Head of Marketing, specialising in creating engaging educational video content for our Instagram, Facebook, TikTok & LinkedIn pages. With a passion for video editing, Trent’s creative journey started at a young age when he made Sims videos on his PC and posted them on YouTube. That early spark for editing has blossomed into a full-fledged career, allowing him to produce dynamic content that educates and entertains.

In addition to his marketing role, Trent also collaborates with Phoebe at the front desk, assisting with reception duties. Outside of work, Trent enjoys afternoon walks, cooking, spending time with his best friends, and, of course, catching up on sleep.
